Hello parents, coaches, volunteers, and supporters,
Thank you for helping make our recent Goupibots LEGO Robotics Challenge Day an incredible success! It was a day filled with creativity, teamwork, and most importantly - fun.

A Community Effort
We were thrilled to offer this event for free, providing a space for students to sharpen their skills in programming, design, and competitive strategy in preparation for the FIRST LEGO League in the fall. This wouldn’t have been possible without the generous support of St. René Goupil, College Heights, and the tireless volunteers and coaches who kept everything running smoothly since January.
Royal City Community Robotics (RCCR) was founded just last year with a bold vision: that every youth in Guelph should have access to a FIRST Robotics team. We are the primary advocate, fundraiser, volunteer network, and resource hub to grow teams sustainably in Guelph.
In just one year, we’ve grown from 1 single team to 5 teams (2 high school, 3 elementary). Our momentum is building, and our sights are set high: 8 teams this fall, and a team in every Guelph elementary school by 2030.

How You Can Help
If your child enjoyed the challenge, they will love to join a FIRST LEGO League team. After 18 years of FIRST in Guelph, we know that building these teams takes more than just parts, it takes a community.

Help us reach our 2030 goal by:
Connecting us with a school or organization interested in starting a team.
Introducing us to sponsors or donors who share our vision for local STEM.
Volunteering as a mentor or helping with RCCR operations (social media, events, fundraising, and more).
Advocating for us within your professional and personal networks.
Supporting us with strategic resources, like a community space, employment pathways for our youth graduates, and other partnerships.
We truly can't do this without you. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to raise our robotics teams.
Sincerely,
Henry Dossett, P.Eng.
President, Chair, Royal City Community Robotics
