Rebuilt and Ready: Reflections on Our Preseason
As we head into the 2026 FRC season, Team 2609 is taking a moment to reflect on a busy and rewarding preseason. From welcoming new members and building technical skills to competing at STEMley, running a mock kickoff, and preparing outreach projects, this fall laid a strong foundation for what lies ahead. Computer Security, Recycling and Youth Robotics
What a day for robotics, sustainability, and community! Thank you to everyone who joined us and the Guelph Tool Library (GTL, https://guelphtoollibrary.org/ ) for their Computer Security Day this past Saturday. With about 150 visitors, GTL collected 75+ e-waste items, repaired 10 laptops, and set aside another 10 for reuse—amazing teamwork for a greener Guelph! Grade 9-12 students from Our Lady of Lourdes, St. James, St. John Bosco, and Bishop Macdonell Catholic High Schools are invited to participate in this award-winning program.
No experience is needed – whether you are starting out fresh or building on existing skills, this is your chance to learn, grow, and compete in robotics!
