Computer Security, Recycling and Youth Robotics
What a day for robotics, sustainability, and community! Thank you to everyone who joined us and the Guelph Tool Library (GTL, https://guelphtoollibrary.org/ ) for their Computer Security Day this past Saturday. With about 150 visitors, GTL collected 75+ e-waste items, repaired 10 laptops, and set aside another 10 for reuse—amazing teamwork for a greener Guelph! Our Rookie FLL Teams Made Guelph Proud at the Waterloo Qualifier
On Nov 29, three new FIRST LEGO League teams from Guelph—73245 The Hollow Knights (King George, UGDSB), 74060 The Pixel Knights (King George, UGDSB), and 74221 St. Peter Robotics (St. Peter, WCDSB)—took on their first tournament at the University of Waterloo. Grade 9-12 students from Our Lady of Lourdes, St. James, St. John Bosco, and Bishop Macdonell Catholic High Schools are invited to participate in this award-winning program.
