The second month of preseason has been nothing short of inspiring for Team 2609. From competition prep and strategic workshops to hands-on skill development and outreach planning, November pushed our team to grow in confidence, creativity, and capability.

Over the past four weeks, Team 2609: Beaverworx has been hard at work welcoming new members, building new skills, and preparing for our first off-season event — the STEMley Cup.

We are excited to welcome new members to our FIRST Robotics team FRC-2609 Beaverworx. Grade 9-12 students from Our Lady of Lourdes, St. James, St. John Bosco, and Bishop Macdonell Catholic High Schools are invited to participate in this award-winning program. No experience is needed – whether you are starting out fresh or building on existing skills, this is your chance to learn, grow, and compete in robotics!

Since 2008, Guelph has proudly been represented in the world of FIRST Robotics by one remarkable team: Beaverworx Team 2609. The powerhouse World Championship–winning team based at Our Lady of Lourdes C.H.S. But after 17 years of FIRST in Guelph, we know it’s time to grow.
